Richard Li’s SPAC Bridgetown Holdings Limited has recently completed its business combination with MoneyHero Group, and plans to list on the NASDAQ tonight (local time, October 13), with the stock ticker: MNY. Per the agreement, the post-combination valuation stands at $310 million, and it is estimated that nearly $100 million of the SPAC shell’s funds will be retained. All existing shareholders of MoneyHero, including PCCW, FWD and Goldman Sachs, will contribute 100% of their equity interests into the combined company. Bridgetown Holdings Limited is Richard Li’s first SPAC, which he co-established on May 27, 2020. The company listed on the NASDAQ on December 7 of the same year, with the stock ticker BTWN, having raised $595 million. Founded in 2014 and formerly known as Hyphen Group and CompareAsia Group, MoneyHero Group is a digital distribution platform for personal financial products. It mainly operates online financial comparison platforms and related services for credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, insurance and other financial products, connecting consumers, financial product providers, as well as content and channel partners.
