MBMC Observation: Anthropic Accelerates Its IPO Preparations, and the Race for AI Unicorn IPOs Has Entered the Final Countdown
The fundraising and listing boom in the artificial intelligence sector continues to gain momentum. The IPO timelines of multiple top AI unicorns are becoming increasingly clear, and the industry has entered a critical stage of the listing race.
Renowned AI large model developer Anthropic is reportedly actively pushing forward with its US listing plans, and has held initial talks with multiple top investment banks regarding the lead underwriter role for its IPO. According to sources, three leading Wall Street institutions — Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley — are all poised to play key roles in the listing transactions of Anthropic and OpenAI. Earlier analysts predicted that Anthropic's target fundraising size for this IPO could reach the $60 billion range.
The fundraising front has also seen remarkable progress. Anthropic recently completed a large fundraising round of $30 billion, and its valuation surged to approximately $380 billion after the financing, ranking among the top global AI startups.
Beyond Anthropic, the listing processes of multiple global leading tech firms have also drawn heavy market attention, with SpaceX and OpenAI successively issuing clear listing signals.
SpaceX: It has confidentially filed for an IPO, targeting a listing as early as mid-year, with an expected fundraising scale that could exceed $75 billion, and the company's valuation may surpass $1.75 trillion.
OpenAI: Plans to complete its listing before the end of the year. It recently closed a new fundraising round of up to $110 billion, with its latest valuation reaching approximately $730 billion, ranking first among global AI enterprises.
Currently, the IPO race landscape among the three leading players — Anthropic, SpaceX, and OpenAI — is growing increasingly clear. The combined fundraising scale of the three companies is expected to set a new historical high for global tech stock listings, and will further drive the restructuring of capital allocation in the global artificial intelligence and technology sectors.
