Bloomberg cited sources reporting that China Southern Airlines (01055.HK) is considering spinning off its cargo business, China Southern Logistics, for a Hong Kong listing, aiming to raise at least hundreds of millions of US dollars. China Southern Airlines had previously planned to spin off China Southern Logistics for a listing on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, but decided to cancel the plan in February due to changing market conditions. The announcement at that time pointed out that since the company began planning the spin-off listing, it had actively promoted relevant matters, organized intermediary institutions to conduct due diligence and other related work, and strictly fulfilled the decision-making procedures and information disclosure obligations in accordance with the requirements of relevant laws, regulations and normative documents. However, based on the current changes in the market environment, in order to make overall arrangements for capital operation planning, after full communication and prudent deliberation, China Southern Logistics intends to withdraw its listing application for the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. © 2021 Meishun (Hong Kong) Management Consulting Co., Ltd. and Meishun (Hangzhou) Management Consulting Co., Ltd.
